We’re looking for someone with great interpersonal and listening skills, a keen eye for a good story, and investigative tenacity to connect with people whose lives have been affected by lack of decent transport options.
We aim to place these stories in local media, to show how important being able to get around is for people’s life chances. We are seeking stories with a diversity of:
Locations around the West of England
Ways people have been affected (e.g. not getting to job interviews or education, not accessing healthcare or shops, and much more, having to be taxi for teenage children)
Types of transport (e.g. walking and cycling routes, bus, train, e-scooter)
Types of problem (e.g. accessibility, safety, reliability, cost, routes, timetables)
If you think this could be you, please download the brief here, and get in touch with your fee proposal by Friday 30th September.
